1. Eat Anti-Inflammatory Foods: Dr. Verma especially encourages lentils, legumes, gluten-free grains, vegetables, fruits, and Ayurvedic spices such as turmeric, garlic and ginger. Also avoid processed foods, refined sugars or too much meat/dairy. Your body will thank you with better energy and stronger immunity.
2. Get Movement and Exercise: Physical activity a few times a week prevents our DNA from oxidative damage and inflammation, increasing longevity.
3. Sleep: It is crucial to sleep long enough to allow your body to recuperate and restore itself. With the right amount of sleep, your body will start to heal itself from damages that occurred while awake.
4. Manage Stress: Find your own ways to manage stress, and seek professional advice if necessary. Stress has enormous effects on the body.
